About Kingdom Of Light International Schools

The purpose of KLIS is to create opportunities for children in Vietnam to experience an English language based curriculum that supports character building, excellent citizenship and individualized learning for each student.  KLIS strives to do this with a tuition fee that is affordable.

There are many ways that we create opportunities for children.  They include but are not limited to:

  • Opening and operating our own “Light Academy” schools
  • Co-operating an existing schools on a permanent or interim basis.
  • Investment into new schools via finances, human capitol, consultation or both.

ADMISSION STANDARDS
Holistic Curriculum

KLIS provides an English-based curriculum that integrates core subjects with character education, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and strong values. This approach ensures students are well-prepared for future academic and personal success.

English Proficiency

Since KLIS uses an English-based curriculum, we require students to have a minimum level of proficiency in English. Students who need additional support in English may receive extra assistance through our language programs.

Age Requirements

Students must meet the minimum age requirements for their respective grade levels as outlined in our admission guidelines. This ensures that each child is placed in a class that best suits their developmental stage.

Parental Commitment

KLIS encourages parents to be actively involved in their child's education. We expect parents to collaborate with the school to support their child’s learning journey, including participation in school events and communication with teachers.

Behavioral and Attitudinal

We value students who demonstrate respect, responsibility, and a willingness to learn. KLIS strives to foster an environment where students are motivated, respectful, and committed to their personal and academic growth.

Extracurricular Involvement

Enrollment Targets
Elementary

Enrollment for children aged 3 - 10 years old (preschool - elementary) to learn English communication, phonics, and spelling with American standards, building confidence and language skills from the start.

Middle School

Enrollment for grades 6-8 with entrance exams to determine class placement. The curriculum ensures a solid foundation for high school, focusing on math and enhanced English programs.

High School

Enrollment for grades 9-12, requiring grade reports and entrance exams to determine additional credits. Students complete the American high school diploma program according to international standards.

University

Enrollment for grades 10-12, offering university credits to shorten the time. Students complete the American high school diploma, begin general education at Skyline universit, then transition to their major.
